I was looking for a breath of a life
[He stretches his arms before heading out for the night. Working at a hospital was convenient, especially that he could work graveyard shifts given the nature of his existence. It wasn't that he couldn't go out during the day, which is a ridiculous pop culture thing about vampires and sunlight, but not completely untrue. Avoiding being in the sun was convenient. It made him sick easily and he imagines extensive time in the sun might actually kill him. Also, working at a hospital meant a food source. Not exactly fresh, but he's lived without that for awhile and the convenience of blood packets versus trying to hunt for a meal without getting himself killed was definitely a plus.
Keith had done pretty well with blending into society. Well, if being mostly a shut in counted as blending into society. He hadn't got into any mishaps with hunters though and he hadn't actually ran into other supernatural beings other than maybe other vampires. He didn't particularly get along with a lot of those that were his kind. Something about being more sympathetic to humans and viewing them as more than just food sources. Personalities clashing and what have you. He was fine being on his own anyways.
As Keith starts heading down the sidewalk, he gnaws at a corner of one of the packets, sucking out of it once he's made a hole. He was warned to not do it on broad daylight, but it isn't day and who the hell is walking around at like four in the morning?
Besides, he was starving and he didn't live too far from work. It'd be fine.]

The upside was that the other person was obviously not just some random human. And the peculiar smell set him from a hunter.
Still...]
What's it matter to you?
[It's none of this guy's business.]

[he sits with his arms extended over his raised knees, jacket's hood piled high up behind his shoulders making him look even scrawnier.]

Doesn't matter what I would have done since you're not one. Even then, it's none of your business.
